Sumicrystal CD (single crystal)
diamond blanks are used in wire drawing dies.
CD diamond blanks offer
very uniform blank to blank properties which are critical in wire die
strings.
CD diamond blanks also offer
superior fracture strength, high hardness and high thermal conductivity.
All these properties significantly affect the life and performance of
diamond wire dies. CD blanks have shown superior die life over a wide
variety of ferrous and non-ferrous wire types.
