Our new sumiChamfer System is a revolutionary product in hole-making. Capable of drilling and chamfering holes in a single operation, it dramatically improves cycle times. Often used in place of special carbide step drills, the sumiChamfer employs three patented steel chamfer heads designed to fit around standard 4.0 mm - 20.0 mm coolant through solid carbide drills. The adjustable chamfer head incorporates two ACZ310 grade inserts to produce the chamfer.

• Standard sumiChamfer DC-type collet chuck assemblies feature a ball bearing nose piece for greater accuracy
• Only three (3) chamfer head sizes cover drill diameters ranging from 4.00mm to 20.0mm
• Uses standard MDS coolant fed drills and ER coolant collets
• sumiChamfer inserts yield two indexes and are available with or without a chipbreaker
• The two inserts/cartridges per unit are 180o apart to offer a balanced design
• Only one insert grade (ACZ310) to machine all materials
