SumiBORON PCBN Blanks
  • PCBN (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) blanks are comprised of a polycrystalline layer of CBN crystals and a tungsten carbide substrate bonded together as an integral blank by an ultra high pressure / temperature process.
  • PCBN tools are used to machine ferrous metals such as:
    - hardened steel
    - gray/ nodular iron
    - powdered metal
    - Ni/Co based superalloys
  • Sumiboron blanks are available in 8 grades and a wide variety of shapes & sizes including round disks up to 64.0 mm in diameter
